Center for Africa Development and Progress (CADeP)
Dedicated to promoting a strong, just and free Africa that ensures opportunity for all, educating Africans on governance, exploring ideas to revitalize African Constitutions, and training leaders for sustainable continental progress.
Our Mission & Purpose
The Center for Africa Development and Progress (CADeP) is a nonpartisan research and educational institute dedicated to promoting a strong, just and free Africa that ensures opportunity for all. We educate Africans on governance issues and how to exercise their franchise, explore groundbreaking ideas to revitalize African Constitutions, and serve as an independent Think Tank that offers rigorous policy proposals, innovative ideas, and actionable solutions.
CADeP trains and nurtures leadership qualities as a prerequisite pathway to genuine economic, social, political, and spiritual progress. Furthermore, we actively promote African entrepreneurship, industrial innovation, and sustainable business environments in order to foster lasting economic growth.
Strategic Policy Objectives
One of the central policy objectives of CADeP’s program is to strengthen citizens of Africa in exercising their democratic freedoms and to deepen productive relationships with advanced democratic jurisdictions worldwide in support of African development.
This objective was forged based on a thoughtful, evidence-grounded consideration that Africa’s institutional capacity has historically faced structural limitations—particularly in public awareness, civic literacy, and institutional enforcement.
Together with allied civil society organizations, CADeP has led proactive nationwide awareness campaigns to establish high-quality civic education in Ghana, especially targeting youth and emerging leaders on the essentials of civilization, self-governance, and rule of law.
"These awareness initiatives are sustained with the steadfast conviction that democratic culture in Africa grows from the grassroots. By curbing impunity and enforcing accountability, Africans will finally reap the full harvest of the human capacities built over generations."
Constitutional Revitalization
Exploring modern constitutional safeguards, judicial independence, and reducing executive excesses to guarantee rule of law across the African continent.
Civic Rights & Free Elections
Educating citizens on peaceful elections, voter integrity, and holding public officials accountable to democratic mandates and public financial prudence.
Resource Protection (Anti-Galamsey)
Unwavering advocacy against the destruction of water bodies and forest reserves by illegal mining syndicates, demanding administrative dismissals and prosecutions.
Executive Leadership
Johanes Koku Nyagblordzro
Executive Chairman • CADeP
Johanes Koku Nyagblordzro provides visionary direction for CADeP’s research policy and civic advocacy. A prominent advocate for institutional enforcement and constitutional revitalism, he has consistently championed a moratorium on redundant lawmaking, arguing that Africa's challenges stem not from a scarcity of statutes, but from the chronic absence of courageous enforcement.
